Gorham Booster Club Info
The GORHAM BOOSTER CLUB (GBC) is a non-profit organization and acts as a resource for fundraising for the Gorham Parks & Recreation Department and the Gorham Schools.  The GBC donates funds or assets to groups or events to help in their efforts to provide additional opportunities for our youth and improving our community.

What’s involved?

Basically, all you need to help out is your time.  We are involved in many activities throughout the year, so you may help in anyway and anytime you want, it’s up to YOU.  Help organize an event, attend our meetings and / or spend some time helping out at one of our events!  You volunteer when and as often as you want.

What are we involved in and where is the money spent?

The biggest misconception about the GBC is we are “just about sports”.  Although our biggest fundraisers are the annual sports tournaments, we are much more than just sports.

We donate or are involved in many projects or events such as; Mindflight, School Scholarships, Math Team, Fire Prevention Week at the Ed Fenn, Chem Free Committee, Brian Wu fundraiser, Sports Awards, Homecoming, Outing club, Drama Club, GMHS Library, Music Dept. and much, much  more.

The GBC has donated too many improvements in town through the Rec. Dept. over the years.  Some of these changes are; soccer field and walkway improvements at Libby Recreation Complex, new basketball court, gazebo improvements on the common, new equipment and uniforms.  We help out with other Rec. Dept. activities such as; Annual Roland Chabot Fishing Derby, middle school beach dance, and with some local generosity we were able to purchase two AEDs to be placed at our fields.

Why should I help and how do I get involved?

Our future is within our youth and enjoying our community thorough leisure and activities.  The more volunteers we have the more opportunities we have to offer new and exciting ideas.  Remember, you may help in anyway you want and as often as you want.  Contact the Gorham Parks & Recreation Department at 466-2101, email jstewart@gorhamnh.org or attend one of our meetings.  Don’t hesitate, get involved and help out our youth and your community!
