ELECTION INFORMATION

Where there is a vacancy on the Coos County District 6 State Representative, the Town of Gorham has a Special Election that will be held to fill this vacancy. The Governor and Council have ordered a Special Election be held on January 23, 2024. The State Primary for this election will be held on December 5, 2023, 8AM-7PM. The following will be on the ballot: Republican candidates: Michael Murphy and Don Lacasse, Democratic candidates: Edith Tucker. Please see the attached SAMPLE BALLOTS. As of October 6th, you are no longer able to change your party affiliation.

The Presidential Primaries have also been set for January 23rd, 2024. This election will also be the same day as the General Special Election for State Representative for Coos District 6. PLEASE NOTE, THE PRESIDENTIAL'S ARE EARLIER THAN PAST YEARS. IF YOU ARE NEEDING AN ABSENTEE BALLOT, PLEASE BE SURE TO STOP BY AND FILL OUT PAPERWORK TO REQUEST AN ABSENTEE BALLOT.
