Paul Robitaille Planning Board, Chairman 20 Park Street Gorham, NH 03581 February 25, 2021 Abutters response to Summer Fun, Inc. Map U6 - Lot 27 Kim Moulton 8 Union Street Gorham, NH My concerns and requests are as follows: A. The noise and inconvenience of having this business in the front of my property last summer was infringing on my right of free will. I was not able to open my windows for fresh air because of the noise of the machines, smell of exhaust and the power wash machine at night. It has also put my dogs on constant alert to traffic and clients at all hours. I’m not looking forward to the upcoming season. I am requesting a noise ordinance with restrictions be put into effect, and followed. Perhaps the parking lot for machines and client parking could be set up away from residential property. B. Requesting the tree barrier and fence between the parking lot and my backyard property be maintained for safety, noise reduction, trash control, and privacy. C. I would ask the town of Gorham to do an Impact Analysis Report. Although Summer Fun, Inc. is a tax paying business, I wonder if other options would not be so invasive. I’m not sure what the rules were last summer, at the old Laconia Bank for maximum vehicles, but I was told they were slotted 75 vehicles maximum. We were looking at 150 plus vehicles thru out the summer. There was no enforcement of this violation, why? Another issue I had was their patrons used the Dunkin Donuts parking lot. It abuts another side of my property. I was picking up the trash daily because it was being tossed over the fence onto my property. I complained to the DD manager and he said he spoke to the owners a couple of times and asked them to stop. They did not have permission to use the parking lot but continued to do so all summer. There was no enforcement, why? These are two examples of liberties taken and without regard to property owners. I’m asking the Planning Board to review these requests and concerns. Keep what is classified as residential safe. Place restrictions and insure proper protocol is maintained. Respectfully, Kim Moulton Sent from my iPhone
