6U or T-Ball League

T-Ball Baseball is for girls and boys who want to learn the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. In T-Ball, players hit a ball off a batting tee.  Rules of the game may be varied to accommodate the need for teaching. The primary goals of T-Ball are to instruct children in the basic fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork. Rosters may be composed of between 10-15 players (depending on sign-ups). No live pitching occurs in this division, although coaches may have players who become more advanced and may adopt "coach pitching" in which the coach lightly pitches the ball (no more than 3 pitches from the coach will be allowed before the batter goes back to hit off a batting tee). All players will have a turn at bat and play in the field each inning. There are no outs and no score will be kept. Game will consist of a maximum of three innings. Parents are encouraged to help out the coaches on the field / bench area. Generally, the diamond used is 50-foot base lines.

Following these rules will help keep the game on a steady pace.

8U or Farm League

Farm League Baseball is for girls and boys who want to learn the fundamentals of hitting, fielding in a more "team" oriented game. Rules of the game may be varied to accommodate the need for teaching. The primary goals of Farm League are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork as well as their individual skills. Rosters may be composed of between 10-15 players (depending on sign-ups). The season will start with "coach pitching" but will work towards having players pitch to batters. A coach or adult will also serve as catcher or help a child who is catching. Each batter gets 6 pitches prior to receiving help from their coach where the batter gets 3 additional pitches. If the batter does not get a hit after 9 pitches they will receive a “walk” and proceed to first base. There is no leading or stealing allowed. Base runners are allowed one base per “pass ball” per play (the players on base may not keep running no matter how many times the ball is missed by the field players). No score is kept and the coaches will serve as umpires. Every player plays both in the field and at bat. The inning will end when the last person has batted or three outs are made. If three outs are made, the batting order will continue with the next batter from the previous inning. Generally, the diamond used is 60-foot base lines and the pitching distance is 35 feet, but may vary on ability.

These rules will make the game run quicker and less discouraging to the players in the field.
